Eggs

Where would I be without eggs? For about the past 6 months I have eaten 3 eggs every other day. My two favorite ways to cook them are frying and scrambling. I used to be a scrambled egg purist before my grandparents lent me their electric griddle. Now I usually fry them in the mornings before I workout since it's a lot faster.

Regardless of the way you cook them (aside from some slight changes in nutrients I think) eggs still provide your body with an incredible amount of nutrition, especially protein. It's safe for me to say that most of my muscles probably used to be eggs. Based on a Google search, one egg provides the following nutrients:

  • Nine essential amino acids
  • 6 grams of protein
  • Vitamin D
  • Vitamin B12
  • Vitamin B2
  • Vitamin B6
  • Phosphorus
  • Potassium
  • Sodium
  • Cobalamin (whatever that is)
  • Calcium
  • Magnesium
  • Iron
  • Fat

I'm not a nutritionist, but all of that stuff seem to be very good for the human body. It amazes me how much is packed into one yolk. It makes sense, after all, since they were meant to nurture baby birds. That's about all I have to say about eggs.
